IE Red ''x'' Problem

Jan 11, 2006 10:31AM PST

After much research on CNET, finding several articles about this problem, and using the advice in those articles, we still have the infamous red x in IE 6.0. The system is a Sempron 2800, WinXP Home SP2. If anyone can, please point me in the direction of as comprehensive a site as possible for solving this problem. I have seen this article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3ben-us%3bQ283807&fr=1 , and tried the suggestions on that site. Can anyone offer any advice as to how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.
