IE HTML Editor

Sep 23, 2004 7:44PM PDT

How do I make "Word" my HTML editor the default editor? I use XP with Power Point installed at the factory. I also installed Works Suite 2002 which includes Word. However, when I try to set the HTML editor in Options, the only program avaiable is "note pad". Any ideas?

Since you don't have Word, you will not be able to accomplish such.

If you need a HTML editor, a freebie like Mozilla has such and is easy to use.

Bob: Thanks....but I do have Word. It's included in Works Suite, and I can open Word from a short cut on the desktop. It is a stand alone program that comes with Suite. Also, Works Word Processor. Word Perfect came with the computer, and I did have Word as the default editor at one time. I had some trouble a few months ago and had to do a recovery from a set of recovery disks.

Bob....Once again, thanks. I did as you told me, and it seemed to work. I was asked if I wanted "winword" as the default editor after installing the IE5. I was told that it was done. However, even after a re-boot, I still am left only with notepad as the editor, and I still have no "edit" button" in IE on the file menu. Still, anymore ideas???
