IE Has generated errors and needs to close!

Dec 22, 2006 9:20AM PST

I have been getting this message pretty often since I downloaded the new IE7. I also have been having problems with pages dropping to the task manager, or just plain disappearing. Is this an IE7 bug, or could this be something on my end? Also, my son is having the same problems with IE7. Is anyone having these same issues?
I am using WindowsXP SP2, same with my son's computer!

Thanks for any advice.

Not here, but...

I have had a related problem on two computers where if you open an IE7 window, leave it maximized, and then open another program in the foreground, IE may suddenly 'jump' to the foreground in front of the other program. I have not found out what the source of that issue is (though I know it's the latest release of IE7 since it never happens with any other program, including IE6 and IE7 Beta 2), but it is most likely a result of the same glitch you're encountering. You might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling IE7, but aside from that I'm afraid you're stuck with it.

It took me over 5 hours to download IE7 (with dial-up). I will continue to use Firefox browser. I just hope firefox doesn't screw up they're browser like microsoft did. You think that microsoft would have done a better job.
Thanks, for the answer John
