IE Display has suddenly made evrything bigger

I was quite merrily working away when all webpages changed in size.
The text is bigger and looks terrible.
How do I get it back to normal.

hold the mouse over text, press the wheel (you should feel a click) and roll the wheel.... one way makes text bigger, the opposite direction smaller....

Try the following options in the order they occur.

Change Internet Explorer's Font Settings

Open Internet Explorer.
From the menubar, click View.
Click Text Size.
Click Medium.
Return to Summary.

Edit the Accessibility Settings

Open Internet Explorer.
From the menubar, click Tools.
Click Internet Options.
Click Accessibility near the bottom right.
Uncheck Ignore font styles specified on Web pages.
Uncheck Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages.
Click OK.
Close all windows to get back to the desktop.
Return to Summary.

Verify System Font Settings Are Correct

Right-click an open area on the desktop.
Click Properties.
Click the Settings tab.
Click Advanced.
Select Small Fonts from the drop-down menu.
Click OK if any dialog boxes appear.
Click Apply.
Close all windows.

If you're already visiting the Internet Explorer page of your choice, then there are no further steps after choosing your "text size".
