There are two different versions of Internet Explorer on the 64 bit version of Win7.. Because the Hotmail site may require Java to open the login window, you need to use the version for which you have Java installed. It's very possible the 64 bit version of IE9 won't work for you.. So try the 32 bit version of IE 9.. But first, be sure you've got the most recent version of Java installed for both 32 bit and 64 bit. Many of those login windows require Java to work correctly. See the link below, agree to the license, then download the Windows x86 and x64 OFFLINE versions. ONce they're downloaded, uninstall all previous versions from your computer and install the new.:

Hope this helps.

<span id="INSERTION_MARKER">1/28/2012 -Running Win 7 ultimate 64 bit: I cant log in to any windows Live pages especially hotmail using IE-9. I can go to "My MSN" page that works just fine until I click on the Hotmail window. The hotmail window shows emails in the window but when I click on the underlined HOTMAIL link it then attempts to sign in and it just flickers on the page and then after some time it brings up a page that says that it is having problems signing in. It says:This site may be experiencing a problem,The site may not be a member of the Windows Live Network, You can: You can sign in or sign up at other sites on the Windows Live Network, or try again later at this site.<span>
However if I use google chrome I have no problems signing in.
