but I would recommend the 'Uninstall and Revert back to IE8' method.
It is no longer listed along with others in Add/Remove, (now called Programs & Features), but is instead listed in Programs & Features under "View Installed Updates".

Today, 4/05/2011, IE 9 arrived on my Win Vista machine via Windows Update. In the event I don't care for it, do I simply do a System Restore to go back to IE 8?
P.S. I checked Add/Remove and I don't see IE listed like the "old" operating systems did so you could uninstall the new IE browser and it would revert back to your previous version.
