IE 7 screwed Windows Explorer !!!

I recently downloaded the beta version of IE7 from microsoft website. Installation went well and IE7 works fine, but after installing IE7, i noticed that there were lots of problems with my Windows Explorer (it was fine before IE7). When i click on a folder, it would take a huge amount of time to open it, when i click back it would take a lot of time to go back, etc.

Has anyone had this problem? Please advice me on what to do.

Thanks.

IE7 SP2 is no longer a Beta Version

In reply to: IE 7 screwed Windows Explorer !!!

I just downoaded it this morning. Someone posted that this was out today in Virus & security alerts at 5:30am appx. It does check to see if you have Windows Genuine Advantage and it was so quick, I did not see a validation button which was there on other downloads.

There are some scum out there that are offering downloads from other than Microsoft. Since BETA is over, where did this come from?

There are many possible problems

In reply to: IE 7 screwed Windows Explorer !!!

BETA is a testing of the program, so that you can help fix the bugs, it is very possible that this is a bug. If it is, you need to restore your system to the way that it was before. However, that is not very likley. Microsoft is the most commonly used browser, so people target that first. This fact combined with the fct that Microsoft lets their security bugs get to the public so that they can realese a patch and gain peoples trust, so that they can sell their overpriced products, will mean that you are most likley infested with spyware. Go to download.com and download Spybots SD and Adaware SE. To prevent thsi problem you must do two things:

1) Never use BETA on your main system!
2) Get Mozilla Firefox, it is better!
