IE 7 multiple windows

by nicklaus / May 28, 2009 5:45 AM PDT

Currently whenever I am surfing and I open a new window, instead of the windows that are open appearing down in the task bar, they are appearing as tabs near the top of the screen. I am unable to view more than one window at a time. Or resize them so that I could put more than one at a time on the screen.

Im running XP home SP3 IE 7

Do you mean that IE7 is stuck in Full Screen Mode? If so, press the ALT + Enter keys together.

Or do you mean that clicking a link opens a New Tab, and not a New Window?

If so, right click the link, and select "Open in a new window".

Ok, heres an example of what I mean. I play alot of Yahoo games online. It used to be that when I would go to the game site, it would open ONE window and show it on the task bar. Then when I choose what lobby to go into it would show as a 2nd task on the task bar, Then, when I selected a particular table, it would show as a 3rd task. Now, Im only seeing one task on the bar, but 3 tabs right above the window. In order to close any of the tabs, I have to click on that particular tab and click the "x" on that tab. If by habit, I go to the far right top of the screen and click on THAT "x", all windows get closed and Im back at the desktop.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
