IE 6.0 hangs up

Jun 12, 2004 11:50AM PDT

In Internet Explorer 6.0, whenever I try to enter something in a text field, such as a search term in Google, then hit a link outside of the text box, IE hangs for about 10-20 seconds and then proceeds. Any suggestions on why the delay occurs? I have gotten rid of spyware, and that has not done the job.

Thanks for the link. I was also experiencing problems with Outlook Express, to which this article also dealt. While the suggested solution on Microsoft's website did not work, it led me down other roads of troubleshooting, to which I did discover a solution.
The link below describes the procedure I followed, clicking at the top on the appropriate problem.

If anyone else is having this problem, this website cleared it up.
