Has had his identity stolen. So this is another market that has folk like you paying but not really protected.

Do not feed those companies. If they can't protect their CEO, how could the protect you?

IdentityTheft Protection

Well, there are many companies that offer paid identity theft protection. But these days there are many that offer free identity theft protection and many people use free companies to avial the service. Free companies do give some reliable protection, but if you're looking for advance protection services, paid services is the way to go!Free companies are credit karma, and credit sesame (with links). Some other paid companies are Lifelock (link again). Most of the sites that ranks these companies offer much more paid of course, because they make money for promoting them. So your question can not be answered exactly. If you want you have to check very careful what benefits you get when you pay. A great example of a site that ranks both free and paid is: http://www.elitepersonalfinance.com/best-identity-theft-protection/ Here you can get an idea how free stands to paid. Most other sites that ranks identity theft protection list only paid because they make more money for promoting them. You also have to know that these companies can not protect you in full. Much more reliable is to follow these steps: make credit freeze, link to this: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0497-credit-freeze-faqs then post fraud alert (actually most of the companies for identity theft do that, so if you are registered, not necessary) https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0275-place-fraud-alert
then you also have to educate yourself on dientity theft

You can get the protection paid or free, it depends. Precaution is better than cure. Be aware of the theft and take preventive measures is the best. There are something which you could do to prevent the identity theft such as safegaurd your password, documents, social identity number etc.

No 100% guarantee

If you pay it doesn't mean 100 % protection. No one will give you a guarantee. Of course in case you pay the responsibility will lie on with the company you concluded a contract. If you manage to prove their incompetence of course. Otherwise, you will remain with nothing.

Verify the company that offering the free or paid services. Reliability is the main criterion in this regard. But if the company is linked with government of your nation. then you can trust, if no company is associated government, then opt as per their sustenance and reliability factors manly.
