Resolved Question

Identifying a file/folder in Win 7

by MrBuzzard / September 24, 2013 10:45 AM PDT

Hello to the forum, and Happy Fall to all. I would like to ask the Forum for help on identifying certain files/folders on my wife's computer. She is running Win 7 home premium, and it is one I built up for her.
The files have strange Alpha/numeric strings as names, they need Administrative permission to go into them, and when you give the permission, there is nothing there.
The file IDs, 14de5f2391a186ffedbbb94663 and dcde27ce4043e8388f12cdd819.
Any assistance in identifying these files will be gratefully appreciated.

Those are usually Microsoft's updates.

We all wish they would have used a name such as "Thisisforupdatesfrommicrosoft."

This is a frequently asked question so I'll stop here without vetting.
