ideas for a new notebook

Feb 6, 2005 3:49AM PST

hi everybody,

i'm a newbie, planning to go in for my first notebook/laptop. i'm a doctor so my basic requirements are for word processing and power point presentations and storage of journal articles (pdf files and word docs) - huge archives. planning to use it for quick consultation on the go, so fast net surfing, portability and battery life are important considerations. light weight and comfortable keyboard are other imp factors.

i've been looking at all the options but i'm terribly confused. price budget is max $1600. HELP!
