I would recommend the Gigabeat S, it's still on c|net's Top 5 Mp3 players
but it's very hard to get a hold on since they don't make it anymore
a lot of the newer MP3 players only come with USB charging but have an AC power as an accessory
you can get like a Vision M or Archos 404 for around $150 refurb or $200 new if you look around
I have been searching for a new player since my iriver h320 died, and i cant find one that fits all my needs. Ive been reading up on mp3 players and everyone seems to lack certain features that i consider necessities. I was hoping i could explain what i had in mind and anyone give me suggestions as to which player would be the best fit.
Ideally i want something like my h320 back. I really like the plug and play ability to any computer. I liked not needing software to upload my songs or having to sync with media player. I want to create my own folders on my mp3 player, label them how i want and organize it my own way (Its already organized on my computer, i just want to copy and paste it into the external drive). It should have 20+GB of space, good sound quality and long battery life. The battery must be recharged through an AC cable and not solely through USB. I would also prefer it to be somewhat compact in size, not ipod nano size but comparable to the h320. Other then that i don't care about features like FM radio or Video/picture ability.
I have been looking into the Wolverine MVP but it seems rather large. If nothing else comes close then i will buy that because it meets most all my needs. I just want a good old fashioned mp3 player at a reasonable price (under $300). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
