Are they all that way, or just some that you may have downloaded from the internet??. Frequently, internet downloaded MP3's have missing ID3 tags. If that's the case, there are a number of ID 3 "editors" which can be found by simply searching on Google.
But have you tried opening the folder where the files reside, then click on "View" in the upper left, choose "Details" from the list. Next, click on the "View" menu again and click on the "Choose Details" selection. You can configure the details which will be shown for your MP3 files.
Hope this helps.
Okay, I know that windows xp supports ID3 tags, and I've edited them a million times before by right clicking the mp3, going to properties, the summary tab, and advanced. And also, I know that windows usually displays the ID3 information of an mp3 when you hover over it with your mouse cursor (as long as you have those pop-ups enabled). But now, for reasons completely unknown, none of that happens anymore, I only see the type of file and size when I hover over an mp3, and the right click, etc. just gets to a list of "track number" "title" and "comments" all of which are blank even though the mp3 has an ID3 tag. Has anybody else experienced this or can anybody help me regain these functions?
