ID VAULT

Jun 9, 2007 1:47AM PDT

I bought this on QVC..looked like a great idea, but now I was reading some reviews on it..and people LOVE it, BUT you can not use on FireFox only IE..and I 99% of the time use FireFox. Anyone have this and any thoughts on it? Thinking I may just send it back...or should I keep it and start using IE when I shop online??????

Without telling us more about what it is you've got (hardware, software, dongle, whatever) or at least giving us a link of what to find out more about what you've simply named, I can not be sure about what it is you have.

HOWEVER, if this ID VAULT is what you are talking about, then you are in error about it not working with FireFox.
At that website it says:
What are the system requirements for ID Vault?
- PC running Windows XP or Windows Vista
- Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher, or Firefox 2 or higher
-
(the rest deleted here for brevity)

I wasn't asking about what your computer setup was, I was talking about the "ID VAULT" I was not sure what THAT was. I Googled for ID VAULT and came across several possibilities (some software things and at least this dongle that I think is what do do have), and I was not sure which might be the one that you have. Sorry for the confusion.

As for the link and the article, that you say, tells "that you have to use with IE."
It does not say that, it says "you must successfully log in at least once using Internet Explorer?Firefox support for ID Vault is still in beta."
So, you use it, that one time, with IE, and from that point on, it sounds like you can use Firefox.

Besides, that is just a Networking eWeek article. I would be more inclined to believe the actual product website. Being that it was in Beta, it might not be now. Perhaps those problems have been resolved with the latest firmware or drivers needed for the device.
