Icusurf keylogger...........

by momover / August 16, 2004 1:05 PM PDT

I was running my Spy Sweeper software the other day and found this installed on my machine. I am the only user and am wondering how I got it on the machine. How can I be sure that the Keylogger program is completly gone. I use the machine for business use and am concerned my files are not safe.

After using the Spy Sweeper version 3.0 I also purchased another program by Mcaffe called AntiSpyware 2005. Version 1. and It also found and supposedly removed the ICUSURF KEYLOGGER.

Does ICUSURF have a duty to send me a removal program now that I have caught them. I have written to them and will consider taking legal action for them to tell me who sent me the Keylogger program.

Does anybody truly know if I have removed this from my computer.

Here is some more info about Icusurf keylogger:

http://www.spywareguide.com/spydet_359_icu_surf.html

On this webpage it even gives a link for removal:

Maybe you download The Cleaner Professional Pro - is FREE for 30 days and run it - only to be sure if it finds anything ?

Empty your Temporary Internet Files and history in Internet Options. And clean out your
%Userprofile%\Local Settings\Temp
folder. It's a good idea to do that regularly.

If you have XP - flush your restore points - by disabling - reboot and enabling system restore!

This is the information listed at WHOIS: It seems when you call this slime's phone number you get an answering machine that is not even voice mail. Not sure it this is his home. But here is the info. He does not not respond to my email either.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
