What I have used is to turn my laptop into a hot spot which my phones could use. There are some thousand articles on this so I won't write how but share a starter link. As to cost, well under 20 bucks for a WiFi USB stick. The only time I hear folk balk at this is it's not worth doing.
Would like to do the reverse of internet connection sharing with a mobile device. Is there a way for an android device, by USB connection to access a high speed LAN connection on a desktop?
Wanted to take advantage of the higher bandwidth I believe to exist on the desktop. Have used android connector for file movement but not this. Guidance sought
