Apple teamed up with SoundGate on this product. I contacted SoudGate's tech support with some questions. Here's their reply:
"With the iCruze you will have to lose your factory changer, and would not be able to get sat. radio either, but you will get to control your iPod from the factory radio. The countdown on the Monster Cable website does reflect release in 12 days. Keep watching it though, they have changed the countdown a couple of times. Monster Cable is doing the distribution of that piece, it will not be available through our dealers unless they are also a Monster Cable dealer."

I am still unclear as to whether it will work with my BMW's OEM system w/ DSP. (The iPod kit from BMW isn't available for my car. Nice.) I'm anxiously awaiting more detailed specs. What a riot that they missed the Christmas shopping season! Whoops.
Does anyone have any insight on this new product being brought out by Monster Cable at the end of November; apparently it will cost $200 and plug your Ipod through your CD player, allowing for control of your Ipod through your stereo controls on your steering wheel, together with an optional display read out giving you the same info as appears on your Ipod. In other words, the music plays directly through your car system rather than by virtue of a wireless FM transmitter, theoretically improving sound and controls (although at a high price). This sounds like the answer to complaints about fuzzy FM reception on ITrip or the Griffin RoadTrip product; I'm real interested to hear what others might have to say about this.
