I am running a HP desktop, not too old with most of the peripherals.

I have used all the MS onecare programs and others to fix this problem, but nothing works. My icons on the windows desktop will not activate. Also when I get emails with outlook express which has web addresses for me to open will not activate.

This all started when my ISP had a flaw and would receive, but not allow me to send emails in outlook express.I contacted them, they walked me through a few tools, unchecked a couple boxes and rechecked them and rebooted. That fixed that problem, but not the above problem.

I am not sure which lap the problem falls in.

Thank you

A sticky post is a post which has been 'stuck' at the top of the list of posts in the forum because it contains valuable information for all members. In Tom's post, the phrase "STICKY POST" is a link to the sticky post in question. You can also go there by clicking here. That particular sticky explains that this forum is designed for feedback concerning the forums themselves and that any technical questions should be posted in the appropriate forum. In your case you should post your question as a new thread in the Windows XP forum, which can be accomplished by clicking here.
