Question

ICloud & gmail

May 10, 2012 12:45AM PDT

On my iPad 2, I think I'm mailing from my gmail account, but sometimes I find the message went via iCloud and I don't know why. Isn't it better to use gmail since iCloud has a free 5gb limit? And isn't better to have all mail in one place?
Thanks

Answer
Wouldn't that be a personal choice?

Sending 5GB of email a month would be hard to do. Even today.

icloud 4 gb is not just for one month

That 5 gb of storage from icloud is the permanent free max. That's not a monthly max as your reply sugests. gmail allows you to store almost everything you ever send or receive and without the hassles of dealing with Apple and icloud.

I wrote email. You wrote storage.

If I sent 5GB of email and used that as storage, no more emails?

I use GMAIL and other things but something got lost in translation here.
