Question

iCloud auto backup?

Nov 22, 2013 6:40PM PST

I'm currently considering switching from iPhone to Sony Xperia Z1 for the sake that there's just so many restrictions on the iOS platform.

But one thing that's been holding my back is the auto-uploading and syncing cloud serviceon the iPhone.
(i.e., Auto-uploading of Dropbox when a picture is taken, and the same feature on iCloud as well)

So here comes the question, is there any Android phone that offers such services? There's none as I know of, though.

And if not, how do you Android people cope with it? Any web site or app that helps on that regard?

Answer
I'm going with no.

Android departs from this and some would say that Apple's approach is like having a nanny around trying to save you from making a bad decision. Or rather, something akin to the "nanny state" discussions.

Android is more like you picking and choosing what you want to sync and backup. It's not done for you.

Jesus I can't possibly begin to realize how convenient that would be (for me though hehe!).
But careful,
I think that your nanny comment's drawing the fiery Apple mobs toward your way!

I think I see them coming.
