Ibook, re-install OS, cursor doesn't worknow?

by Laurafarmgirl / April 17, 2014 11:32 AM PDT

Hi,

done a re-install on my ibook and now the cursor doesn't work but it works with a mouse.
I have used these discs before and no probs. I
have used this particular laptop for years and it has always worked . tried system pref's but no good.

Strangely i had another ibook a few weeks back and it had the same problem and i replaced the top cover thinking it was the key pad and after stripping another laptop for parts gave up in frustration, thinking it was a motherboard fault.

Any ideas?

Works with external mouse ,is there something in the settings that disables the mouse pad on the laptop?

And no, they don't all work the same. It appears I upset you and you sound combative. And no to your question. To me it sounds like it needs repair. I no longer operate repair shops but will share when I can.

Doesn't really matter which iBook 14"as they all work the same.

Works with external mouse. Is there something in the settings that can disable the mouse on the laptop?
