ibook and Powerbook battery life

by ronniejaymz / June 12, 2005 7:36 AM PDT

how is the current 12" powerbook battery life, I've heard its realistically just under 2 hours. How does that compare to the 12" ibooks current battery life?

i'm trying to decide which model to go with, and awful battery life is a pretty big turn off. Any help is appreciated.

If you check out the Tech Specs, at the Apple store, for the 12" PowerBook you will see that Apple claim up to 5 hours life. However, with Wireless turned on, Bluetooth radiating, watching a DVD and hitting the HD frequently for data, will probably reduce that time.
Battery run time is entirely dependent on the way you are using the machine.

Consumer Report found the power book to last 2 and the ibook to last 3 1/4 hours on a single charge. Not the most tech savvy publication, but its still pretty reliable
