Try removing the battery and powering it with the charger.
I recently purchased a used IBM laptop Think Pad. My daughter used it and it frooze so I just shut it down like I do my desk top by shutting off the power to have it reboot the system. Well now it will not boot up at all the screen is blank and the memory screeen will not boot up with nothing. The memory scroll that indicates it is booting is not even working. Help Please.
