IBM T23

Hi all, I have a T23 Thinkpad and while it still works fine, I tried awhile back to load WinXP and it didn't work, the machine has Win2000/NT. And when you start the machine I get a screen asking me what OS I want to use Win 2000/NT or WinXP. When you hit the WinXP it does nothing, but hitting Win2000/NT it boot right up. How can I get rid of this screen and or remove any hint that WinXP is there?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
