I've never used the iAudio, but I do own the iHP 120. It's a fabulous MP3 player. It does all manner of recording and is incredibly easy to navigate. They're customer service also rocks. My hard drive had failed and all I had to do was send the base unit back, they gave me a brand new package. The remote is also very functional offering everything you get on the main unit. All in all this is a wonderful company and a wonderful player.

Iaudio M3 is a better choice

I've held both of them, and I have to say that I'd go with the Iaudio M3. It's the most nimble Device I've ever seen and won an award from Cnet.

Hi

I bought an iAudio M3 after extensive rsearch, and I love it. The inline remote is quite a specialised method, and for some people it doesn't fit into their plans for what they want to do with it. However, if you like the idea, than you won't regret it. The player itself is sleek and stylish, and the controls are very easy to get used to. The sound is fantastic and the upgradable firmware and its capacity for OGG files sealed it for me, and I don't regret it at all. Hope that helps.

Boy this is really puzzling me. I just don't know how i could live without a screen on the main body. I'm currently wanting an iriver h120 to replace my first gen. dell dj (it's too bulky), but i love the size factor of the iaudio m3. If someone could outline how they use their iaudio that would be great. I.E. Where do you put the remote. Oh and if anyone has held the iriver h120 could tell me how bulky it feels (preferably in comparison to a dell dj gen. 1) that would be great!

iRiver H120 - digital optical?
Feb 19, 2005 3:41AM PST

I'm in the exact same position - I've done loads of research and can't decide btwn those two.

A big attraction for me to the iRiver H120 is the digital optical in/out. I have a high quality stereo system that has optical in, so that combo would rock. If you have no need for this definitely spring for the H320. Does anybody have any experience with the digital optical feature on the H120 though?

And about the iAudio MP3, yeah, it's probably the best-looking and sleekest MP3 Player out right now. What about the new M5(L) though? If you can wait, that might the player of choice.
