It won't even open anything. I uninstalled my mozilla firefox because I thought it was causing it now I have to go to my favorites to yahoo so that I can get on the internet. Nothing opens without getting the choose a program to open with option. I tried looking around the internet and someone suggested I try to open a command prompt to check the registry which is impossible to open anything. I hope this enough.
This is practically always solved by applying the exe-file fix from http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm
Should work on Windows 7 also. Worth a try.

I have to thank you for trying to help but, my computer was in very bad shape and I contacted a phone tech support but when eveything they tried wouldn't work they transferred be to online tech support which turned out to be remote tech support that took several hours to fix. I had hundreds of errors, malware, spyware and anything else you can think of but the Windows 7 exe fix was done also. My laptop was on the verge on becoming extinct as I watch him go through the errors I realize it was my own doing for opening and allowing things to download in the background. Thanks for the help...I gotta to get to work on fixing my desktop so I can cut my laptop some slack.
