I wrote about returning my computer for a new one with Vista

by springspring / March 14, 2007 4:07 AM PDT

I wrote about returning my computer I only have a week to return it, and the 6 months is up, the answers I got where ethnically it was not right. Well I phoned up the store and told them there was nothing wrong with it but since I bought it Vista came out, they told me as long as its within 6 months I can return it and get another one, even if nothing is wrong with it. Now with the knowledge that I can return it even now should I return it for a new Vista or keep what I have which is an XP athon 4200 gateway.

Again, why?

At this point, keep it or return it, I really don't care. Make a choice and be prepared to live with the consequences, whatever they may be. Just please do us a favor, and stop looking to us for permission to do what you want. Also, please spare us the tales of woe if you decide to get a Vista system and it turns out to be far from the romantic ideal you had in your head.

I mean this to be taken in the "friendly advice" sort of way too... Along the lines of a friend trying to tell you that you're becoming insufferable, and to move onto something else before being forced to throttle you.

And to the mods who have something jammed a little too far up some place to have a sense of humor, all comments that might seem in some way hostile or menacing, were intended to be humorous. Thank you for sucking all the life out of things by not having a sense of humor.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
