General discussion

I wonder if the Newbies forum should be renamed.

Dec 11, 2006 8:11AM PST

With Grif it has one of the finer Moderators, however by looking at a post that I made and note that it is many, many days later still only about a quarter of the way down it appears that this forum's utilization has fallen off rather badly.

Wonder if too many people don't want to be considered to be Newbies.

I post there because I am fairly certain that Grif will give a perfect answer.

Could be the lead up to Christmas.

This could be a seasonal slow down. I bet on and after Christmas we'll have lots more posters from new owners, etc.

Ray, I Still Like The Forum Name

I understand your point but I think there needs to be one forum where beginners can ask a questions and not feel threatened... Personally, I think "Newbies" is the perfect title to let users know the they're in the right place to ask their questions.

Hope this helps.

Hi Grif, I did notice a small increase

in the rate of new posts.

And since you are the key, I will revise my thinking.

If you do away with dial-up

Where would you suggest those of us who are not able to have any other mean of accessing the Internet post our problems.

I have very few dial-up problems but when I do I do not want to be told I am in the wrong forum.

Thanks for your input

Computer help is the "general" category. I didn't mean to offend anyone, it's just the dial-up forum gets very little usage lately.
