Best tips for new to this area or many areas.

Use google and put the word Tutorials in your search. If you decide to learn a specific title then google with Title Tutorials.

The biggest issue I see folk run into is the time you will invest. Or expecting a tutorial to fit in one reply on a forum.

Finally there are classes at many junior colleges on this area. Worth taking.

video, photo editing software

Snagit - This application has a full set of capture, recording, editing and exporting tools, so it’s far more than a simple screen capture program. You can use it not only to take and edit screens shots but also to make videos of what’s happening on your computer.

FastStone Capture - FastStone Capture has all the tools we look for in screen capture software, including video capture, digital editing tools and video game recording.

These are paid software I think so. But you can use trial version and if you like it, customize it to pro version.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
