Question

I Want to send a personalised attachment to bulk email

Jan 23, 2015 5:02PM PST

I would like to send a personalised email attachment to a distribution list. The Email will say the same thing to everyone but the attachment has to be personalised and ideally in pdf format. I am using Outlook 2007 and my distribution list and personalised details is in Excel 2007. Basically I want to send a mail merge document as an pdf attachment to everyone on my distribution list. I would be most grateful for any suggestions how this can be done - easily! Many thanks.

Then it's not a bulk e-mail, just a lot of individual mails. Alas, the mail-merge facitities in MS Office (Word) do allow for personalised mail, but don't support personalised attachments.

That means some programming is necessary (in Excel or Outlook or a separte program), if you can't find a ready made solution. It's not too difficult.

I have downloaded a trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro which will do this for me. I now have managed to personalise an email attachment to everyone on my distribution list. Happy Luckily this is only something I have to do once a year!
