I want to record tv hdtv to my pc without a tv card

Dec 14, 2005 12:19PM PST

I have a dell XPS dim 3 running xp home that is hooked up 2 a 32 in hdtv tv which doubles as my monitor I can watch tv and surf ect at the same time. can someone tell me how I can interface the two so that I can use the computer as a tivo type device.the video card is an Ati Radeon X300 the tv is a dell w3201c
I'm hoping that some software will make this happen and I know there are tv cards out there but it seems like a waste with the setup i already have.
thanks to anyone who responds

I'd like to see how to do this too.

Given your hardware setup with no video capture in the PC, I'm also going to want to know how to do this.
