I want to connect a cd changer/player to my PC

Jan 8, 2007 3:42AM PST

I have a Sony 400 disc cd/dvd changer player (DVP-CX9995V) and a Sony desktop computer (VGC-RB47G). My computer OS is Windows Media Center. The player has all kinds of outputs, both digital and analog, and every kind of output connector you can think of (RCA, digital coax, optical) but no USB. My computer has the usual sound card (analog) connectors and USB 2.0 connectors.
Is it possible to get the digital audio signal off the CD player and into my computer? I'm trying to avoid the overwhelming task of loading my 500 disc collection onto my hard drive one disc at a time.

Did you ever find a solution?
I am trying to figure out how to rip my cd collection using a pioneer changer for an apple computer's optical drive.
