General discussion

I want to change

Mar 26, 2005 12:29AM PST

I just finished Reformatting and reinstalling WIN XP home and sp2

When I Press WINKEY/F for "SEARCH", the window that comes up has...
Pictures, music, or video
Documents(wordprocessing, spreadsheets,etc)
All files and folders
Computers or people
Information in Help and Support center

Before I reformatted, it would come up "ALL FILES & FOLDERS", ready to type in what I wanted to search for.

HOW can I set search to show ONLY ... "ALL FILES & FOLDERS", when it starts up, like I had before reformatting?

Thanks

Ben

To set Search to always use all files and folders:

1. Press WINKEY and F
2. Select Change preferences
3. Select Change files and folders search behavior
4. Select Advanced and click OK
