Question

I want to buy a new laptop, please recommend.

Aug 16, 2018 5:30AM PDT

I'm looking for something that can do decent gaming (mostly Fortnite), but I'd also like to do some video editing. Also, I DO NOT like big, heavy laptops. My budget is 900$ (800&euroWink. I'm not looking for something crazy, and in this price range that's almost impossible. I'm just looking for a good laptop that can do a little bit of everything. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Try models with the usual 1050 ti GPU.

You should find models with the usual i5 and if lucky an i7 for the CPU and the 1050 Ti which gives you a nice gamer. No, it won't do 144Hz or more than 1080p and you may have to pull back on some effects.

But there are Dells, Acers, Asus and others that have this. The Dell gamer appears to have 256GB SSD which is more than enough for games. It may not be enough for those that collect videos.

What's available in your area (country?) with the basic specs I noted?
