I guess not.
PDA w/GPS. Camera-phones. MP3 sunglasses. WiFi toaster-ovens. Great. But I want something portable that does it all: PDA, GPS, DVD/MP3 player/recorder, WiFi hookup, phone, videocamera -- that's right, I want a tricorder. It could be a box that clips to my belt or hangs in a holster or backpack or whatever and runs to a headset; I don't require that it be tiny. But it needs to be all in one and indestructible.
And how about at home? I want to sit in my speaker-equipped easy chair with my wireless touchscreen interface/keyboard that runs my audio and video set-up which is also my computer system.
How far off is this? Or never? I realize there's the 'break one lose all' factor at work here.
Is this all too much to ask? Does anyone see any likelihood of my wish coming true?
