DLPs

Everyone wants thin, with dlp they are rear projection so they are deeper and you don't hear of them as much. That's why you see tvs now that are 1.5 inches thick or thinner, even if they may not look as good it wows some people because of how thin they are. DLP front projection is certainly popular and a very good technology!

No I think they may stay for awhile.

I mean where can you get a 1080p 65"er for under 2 grands (or even close to it).

Thin is nice but I think it was the price of the 50"er plasma that won over the consumers.

YES thin is in, DLP/LCoS set are not thin!

It's just extramly hard to hang a DLP/LCoS set on the wall!
I don't have a wall to hang a set on so my bulky CRT-RP set is fine for me.
If want the BIG screen and you and have a limited budget the the RP DLP/LCos sets are for you, if you can give up hanging it on the wall. John

Hope all is well with Stewwwwieee. Maybe he went "All in." one too many times. Happy
I didn't like DLP's because you had to be directly in front of the screen or the picture became washed out. Even if you were to lean a few inches one way or the other. Or even just stand up. Maybe this has been resolved but I wouldn't touch a DLP about a year ago.
