Question

I've been stalked by hackers since August of 2013

Apr 18, 2015 8:33AM PDT

I have a strange problem. I have been stalked by hackers and other weirdos since August of 2013. They even went after my family, have all of my personal info including my Social security number and everything else, know where I live, went after other family members of mine including my mom and brother.

Used a spear phishing trick where they used my email and family members emails to send out links with viruses by doing this they got into the systems of a major healthcare provider's systems in my area. They hacked my brother's credit card info and used it to make a purchase, and a whole lot of other things happened too.

This is the short short version. Both of my computers are super compromised with god knows what. Does anyone have any advice on how to escape my stalkers? What do I need to do to remove them from my system. I went to the FBI, but unless you're a celebrity they don't care if you get hacked or stalked for so long.

It's an uncomfortable feeling knowing these weirdos have been stalking me for so long, and I have 0 privacy and everything I do is being monitored by said weirdos. Any advice would be much appreciated. Where do I start and what do I have to do to cleanse my systems.

Also can they infect my Comcast modem with viruses I reformatted my system in safe mode and I know of one thing the rootkit virus reinstalled itself.

Will you stop using Windows?

For me it's easy to go into lockdown. I just run that TAILS OS. Just try to break into that!

I know some that won't move off Windows. Sometimes you have to move on.

Well, if the info is already out there

like "Social security number and everything else", it's too late to change to Tails, wouldn't one have to go on the offense and and change all of the accounts and numbers ?

Switching to a Linux Distro is safer, But if the person laying the info out there is still laying it out there, the point becomes moot

Unless folk make a change.

The emails and such just keep getting hijacked. As to the leaked details, it's over. Move to a secure OS, get new email in that secure system and don't let folk have your email etc. again.

Answer
Use a LIVE DVD

You can boot from it everytime, never can be virused, do all saves to a folder on the hard drive. Each time it boots, does so from the "read only" DVD. You can get all different versions of Linux LIVE DVD, and burn the ISO image to DVD yourself, or order already on the DVD.
