Dear "Escaped" persons,
380,000 person accessed to that stupid "CRIMSON ROOM" by now (07:00 Feb. 17th).
16,000 escaped person have sent me e-mail.
I'm working hard to make the next "Viridian room".
You had better to keep the CD case.
Thank you,
TAKAGI
At least, some of them were.
Also, having to repeatedly press the same hot spot in order to 'see' hidden items was a bit annoying.
Still, it was an interesting puzzle.
I do wonder, though, who ever heard of a movie on a regular cassette tape?
I think that's the name - was a Fisher-Price movie camera that used cassette tape for video.Kinda grainy, and you got like five minutes of video per 90 minute tape.
I heard they were sought after as collector's items a few years ago.
Rick
About time you got in here! You have been missed:))
Now how about a survey?? hehehe

Got my 17 year old son on it this AM and he had it figured out in approximately 30 minutes ![]()
Speaking of my boy.....MOM'S BRAG TIME!!
He just got back his SAT test scores:
640 verbal - 85%ile nationally
740 math - 97%ile nationally
He's a Junior in HS, so can take it again next year if he wishes to. He wasn't very happy because he missed 1 question in geometric reasoning and 3 in algebraic reasoning. He was going for a perfect score of 800 in the math section. I was pretty dang proud of his scores ![]()
Take care all,

Sure must be one smart son you have there Marcia. I gave up on this one wayyyyyyyyy back. Right away it reminded me of a table top pinball machine I bought my Son years ago. Paid good money for it too. My son got it going OK, but said; Hey, Dad the Lights do not work on this thing.
After looking it over, taking it apart I noticed all wires went to one spot, and ended. Connected to a blank block.
I took it back to the store and talked to manager. He looked it all over and said, Well, it says here its made in Japan. you know these japanese have a great imagination. So, I guess you'll have imagine the lights light up. I got my money back.
Long story, but its a true one.
I have imagination, but this wayyyyyyy back and that pinball machine burned it up.

to share what he had done so far. I think I would be proud of as much as well.
I rather enjoyed the game. Was a bit POed when I found out there was no way out of the room but I got over that. ![]()
Well, I'll give him B for effort. I can't get it to even load now and it took forever and a day before.
I remember it saying something about " You need to install the following langage pack...Japanese" I thought Oh Boy, here we go.
By the way, Rosalie, not to change the subject. I figured out those smilies. All on my Own Too. :^O
.
Japanese langage pack. I notice you need Macromedia Flash Player but you must have that if you already viewed it.
I now don't think I played the whole game before, I just found two more items, another ring and a battery. Didn't make much more progress though. If Rick really did escaped he should share some hints with us.
I have tried it again and got that message.
"to display language characters correctly you need to install the following language pack" "Japanese"
I thought the game was some kind of joke.... another one of those "imaginarys"
I got on the game but could'nt get anywhere.
Also to the proud Momma, Marcia. Congradulations to your Son on the high SAT test scores and solving this game together.
I'm going to get my 16yr old granddaughter to work this one out. Shes a Wizz on computers and games.

I have the paper with the URL (but going there does not give me a number like some people claim they got), the empty CD case, three keys (two used to open drawers), cord (used for CD player), mystery box, two rings and a battery. Used the two rings on the mystery box but it won't take the battery.
Thanks for trying to help.
.........and if you don't have a youngster handy to do it for you like I did, I would be happy to post the info for it, but only if everyone else wants to see it also ![]()
The only thing I helped him with was following the trail to the URL listed on the note to get the numbers needed for the lock on the wall safe.
There is no BIG SURPRISE in the end when you get the door open. You just have the opportunity to put your name/country/comments on the "escaped list".
Was a fun activity to do with my son, however. I enjoyed it - and saved myself alot of frustration by having him do all the hard work!!! LOL

I also went to the URL's web page but it didn't help in any way, no links and no numbers on the page.
I wonder if these clues have to be followed in a certain order?
When you find the "projector" and you put in the batteries and the two rings, it will play a silly movie on the wall. As you watch the movie, to the left of the dancing man you will see a plus (+) sign. Put your cursor on it and wait until the movie is over. Then click three times on that spot. A safe will appear. The web site of the URL given has the 4 numbers for unlocking the safe (the numbers are in the form of a "year", as in 2004). You can then unlock the safe and there is an object you need inside. Be careful, however, if you click away from the safe at any time before you get the object, it will go away and you have to go through the whole silly movie again! ![]()
Have fun!

Like I said, I wonder if these events have to be done in a certain order.
Hi, Marcia.
Only found one ring... And it would be nice if they identified it as a projector, rather than "a mysterious box!" I have a third key (the hardest to find, as you have to hit JUST the right spot on the bed to get the end-on view where the third key is visible); I suspect if I could figure out what it opens, I'd be a lot closer, but there are only two obvious keyholes...

hidden in the top of the curtain. Two of the keys unlock drawers in the chest of drawers.
I need a new battery, the one I have will not make the projector work!
Let me know if your battery works, Dave.
Hi, Marcia.
The frustrating part with this thing is that you have to hit exactly the right spot to get many of the items etc. This makes it more frustrating than fun...
