I used to have 500 gigs on my hard disk now only 465 gig

And thats total. It used to have a second partition that was like 12 gigs but I deleted that when I used my restore disk so i dont know how i lost this much. Any help would be wounderfull.

I am making an assumption you are not willing to go get Partition Magic to reclaim the space and that you know how to convert from binary bytes to decimal bytes. If this is acceptable go read http://partedmagic.com/wiki/PartedMagic.php

Remove old restore points

and limit the number it creates. See restore and C:, etc: drive properties. I like that, has a nice sound to it "etcetera drive". Happy
