So, as the subject title says, I got hit with Total Secure 2009. I did a Google search and discovered that using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware freeware would probably solve my problem. I downloaded it, scanned my computer and fixed 51 reported problems (that included hijacks and trojans).
Anyway, it asked me to restart and I did, and it appears everything is back to normal. However, how do I know that I actually got rid of all the threats? I do some online banking and email and I want to be certain before I access them again.
