i-pod to mp3 disc burning

by ian h / October 9, 2005 9:59 PM PDT

I WOULD LIKE TO PUT A LOT OF SONGS ONTO 1 DISC (MP3 FORMAT)FOR MY MP3 CD PLAYER IN MY CAR. I HAVE I-TUNES, BUT EVEN IF I SELECT BURNING IN MP-3 FORMAT IN THE I-POD PROPERTIES, IT ALWAYS DENIES ME WITH "CANNOT , ALL TRACKS NOT IMPORTED IN MP3 FORMAT," OR WORDS TO THAT EFFECT.
I HAVE MEDIA WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER, BUT CANT DRAG ANY I-POD MUSIC ACCROSS.
WHAT CAN I DO ?, THANKS!

Not an Operating System issue. It's called DRM.

Digital Rights Management which I will not explain in depth is what you are seeing here. For example it would allow such if the tune was from your CD but not if purchased from iTunes. No change or fix is planned.

Hope this helps.

It can also happen in rare cases if the keyboard is stuck in all caps.

thanks for the response

although it did say i-tunes music stores files cannot be burned to a mp3 cd it also said
'' only files that are already in mp3 format can be burned to a mp3 cd.''

-does that mean i have to import my cd,s in mp3 format?
