You've posted this before. What you apparently didn't do was check if it was compatible. It's not unlike plugging 110 volt devices into 220 volt outlets.
But that's besides the point. I'll ask you not to post duplicates. Feel free to reply to your old post so it bubbles to the top.

i buy one ipod 20 gb and in motion im3 on octber 2005 and i change my ipod for new 30 gb video. when i connect to in motion (i remove the adapter )and connect the new i pod cause serious damage in my ipod.
answer: this equipment model im3 -in motion compatible or not ipod 30gb video if necessary change my in motion for model im3c????
