Will a backup be made this time?
Just wondering.

PS. Look up PC FILE INSPECTOR and Drivesavers.com
I have a ABIT board with a P4 chip at 2.8 GHZ, and use Windows XP Professional OS. The Maxtor 80G, 3.5 HDD that was used as a storage device for digital photos started acting erractically. Took it to a local shop where it was diagnosed as having 13 I/O errors. Software, don't know what or by whom, was used in the attempt to recover data, however, after three days on the test bench nominal files were recovered, none of the photo's. Needless to say, my thousands of digital photo's took a lot of time to load and I am concerned that I may have to spend months loading them onto another drive. Can the drive be broken down by experts and photo's recovered or am I relegated to re-scanning all the available photo's onto another drive?
