I now have XP, Some of my Software is not compatible!

Is there any way I can upgrade the S/W without the need to buy upgrades?

Sometimes.

But your post has no specifics and with each software the answer will change.

For example Office 97 is sometimes compatible and buggy on XP. Free fix? Use Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org

I can't guess what titles you are working with so I'll leave this example and see what else you will write.

thanks for your reply.
the S/W is called Pattern Maker Pro 3.03
It could be used with Win '98. I am not sure if it is a US creation.

Links to Pattern Maker

This link shows the various options for purchasing:

However, THIS link shows downloads available for the various versions for registered owners. I would contact them to find out if you download the XP version (second set of download links on the page so scroll downward rather than get the first set since that's the trial version for non-registered owners), if you will be able to continue to use your licensed/registered code numbers for it.

Some sites will automatically have the upgrade version install over the older version and have the old license number still be good and the program update is free. Check with them first, via their 'contact us' link at the top.
