I need to transfer photos from cell phone to PC

by telios / May 4, 2009 2:37 PM PDT

Hi.
I recently got the Samsung SGH-S366 phone and USB cable. I need some
way to get my photos off the phone. The "mass storage" setting only accesses the external 2gig card, not the internal memory. Why can't
I see the internal memory? It should show up as an other drive.
What do I need to do?
I tryed the Samsung PC Studio3 software. It does not work.
I have Windows XP Home.

All help appreciated.

Samsung Phone

I have an m610 and have always had the same problem which I have just solved. I have Windows XP Pro.
Plug the turned on phone to the usb cable connected to the computer
The Found New Hardware wixard starts, press cancel
On the phone turn up "Tools", "Mass Storage", "Connect to PC", , the phone should indicate that you are connected
Windows should recognize the device by:
1)opening a window to choose what you want to do or,
2)showing the "removable drive (letter) in Windows Explorer under My Folders
Transfeby choosing the program or use WX to open the folders on the card. If this does not work, fool around a bit and you might come up with a sequence that works for you.

TRANSFER INFO FROM CELL PHONE TO PC
by Larcred / October 6, 2009 5:41 AM PDT

Hi:
was anyone able to give you any information on this subject? I, too, would like to get pictures & text msgs off my Verizon LG8300 to my PC. I have a USB cable but when I hooked it up to my computer nothing happened. I called Verizon and they told me that I can only e-mail or forward via e-mail that type of information. That is a real pain so I'm looking for 3rd party software that Verizon doesn't offer to obtain the same end result. If you know or get an answer I'd appreciate if you would e-mail me that info as well to larcred@aol.com

thank you
Larry

If the phone is active, you can always email them directly to the computer.

If you have a samsung by sprint, and you're using the Sprint as you go plan, each picture you forward will cost you .50 cents. Just so you know

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
