You need a router . . .

Any good name brand connected to the modem. Then you can all use the connection. If your PC is wireless enabled you can use that with a wireless router. All modems today are pretty much plug-n-play.

I think we maybe able to help more if we know about the present setup.
Is it cable, DSL, dialup, etc.? Does the present connection already have
a router and are there more LAN connection available .

I may add something else here. Does your Grandparent pays for the internet? If not, then you really should have your aunt and uncle's permission (whether they pay for OTHER house expenses is a different issue). You see what I am saying?

How to get internet

Depending of what the service coming in is, Cable, Dsl, clear etc.. you may find a second modem is more costly than expected generally this requires a second account, at full price. However, if you can get a cable modem to lock in you can have it work, not the best idea, but possible, recommend having a tech do the install though so they can rebalance signal levels.

You choices are dependent upon what they already have though to be honest. Can you explain what they are using?
