I need some help with Downloading CNET files

Feb 19, 2011 8:14PM PST

Good morning,

I am trying to download some software from CNET onto my new HP laptop and cannot figure out how, or where or if CNET is downloading it to. I have tried both Firefox and Internet Explorer 8 and it looks like it is downloading the software, but it doesn't ask me where to save the file or if I want to run the file. I am new to Win 7 and can't determine what I am doing incorrectly. There are several utilities that I would like to get, but can't figure out how. Can anyone give me any advice??

Thanks in advance,

Eric

It usually save them in downloads folder which is located in computer=>windows drive (C for example) => users => your user name => downloads.
but you can use a download manager to manage your downloads much better.

I have checked my download folder and there is nothing there. Also, with Firefox, it has a built in download manager that asks me where to save the file in a pop window and then shows me the download progress. But neither of these things are happening. It's seems as if CNET isn't sending me the file at all.......any other suggestions?
