I need some help. I think i got a virus!

okay so there is a LOT of things wrong with my laptop. Its a Dell Vista, Inspiron 1501. It was my Grandmas and she has only had it for two years this is my first year to have it as mine and now somethings wrong with it.

I have looked up every thing and i haven't found anything yet. I want to restore everything and yes i have already backed up everything.

Heres the problems, it wont open in safe mode. I try to open system restore, disk defrag, network connections, etc. and they dont open, or work. i dont have a recovery disk. My dad had misplaced it. oh and it wont let me download anything! I need help!!!

Im seriously thinking about smashing it in the ground....but i havent yet. SO someone pleas help me!!

Did you call Dell and order recovery media?
