Get a Gmail account, it's FREE. the Gmail account can be accessed with any email program. I would use Mozilla Thunderbird but you could set it up with Outlook Express. When setting it up, have Outlook Express leave the message on the server. Do the same for the second account. You'd both get the emails. Your options would be leave them on your hard drive or to delete them from your computer as they come in. If you happen to get a spam email, go to the webserver and check the email and click the drop down menu and report as spam. You'll never see that email again. You may also want to check the spam filter from time to time. Once in a great while one of your clients emails may accidentally go there. Sure beats using AOL.
Everything with Gmail is FREE and you have a 6gig email account.
I wonder if anyone can help me. We are small UK office of two personnel, who's parent company it US based. We are responsible for buying and installing our computer equipment.
We would like to run the office so that it wirelessly networked and so each of us can manage the others Outlook e-mail.
The two machines we have are HP, one has Window XP professional, the other Windows XP home edition. We currenty have them networked through a Thomson router. The IPS is AOL, but it is not a business line (can this make a difference?) Both machines have MS Office 2007 installed. The computer line is shared with the fax line.
As we have to send e-mail to various locations over the globe. We are having problems with the rate that e-mails are sent and received. We are due to be permitted access to our parent company's server shortly.
My question is, what is the best and most powerful set up can we achieve. In order for us to run our office efficiently. And have I the right equipment at the moment.
Thanks in anticipation of replies.
